 Sign-up is done online. In-person appointments are always available, but not necessary.
Petitions are filed elec- tronically immediately after you sign up. There is a mandatory sixty day waiting period once the petition is filed before the divorce can be granted. The Insta-File Agreed Divorce™ gets the timeline started immediately.
Your file is maintained on- line with your own personal username and password.
An attorney is assigned to your case and works with you to draft your final decree to match the agreements you make with your spouse. This work is usually done online and/or over the phone. Again, in person-appointments are available, but not necessary.
You meet your attorney at the courthouse for a one-time hearing to get the judge to grant your divorce.
Payments can be divided over a period of 45 days to help manage your budget.

Fees
The costs and fees for the Insta-File Agreed Divorce are a straight forward $175 plus filing fees. No extra or hidden charges because your case is 'different.' So long as you and your spouse resolve the issues and questions to qualify for an Agreed Divorce by agreement, the fee is a flat $175 plus filing fees.

You have been married two years, have no property accumulated, no children. You wish to file in Harris County, Texas.
The attorney's fees are the flat $175. The costs and filing fees for instant electronic filing of a divorce with no children in Harris County, Texas is $255.10. Your total cost is $430.10

Example 2
You need an agreed divorce with children filed in Harris County, Texas. You have a house which will be deeded to your spouse.
The attorneys fees are the flat $175. The costs and filing fees for instant electronic filing of a divorce with children in Harris County, Texas are $286.53. Normally, a divorce with children requires child support and a wage withholding order (which we draft for you). The county charges $15 to issue a wage withholding order. You will need to file the deed (which we also draft for you), which the county charges $20 to file for a two-page deed. Your total costs are $496.53.
